now that they've got SHAFTA in place, they can shut down the borders for real. Instead of importing cheap labor, as the Ownership Society has done since colonial times, they can now export all the jobs to countries that don't have labor movements or democratic governments or all those other "anti-business" institutions Americans have fought and died for for the last century.

I have a feeling I'll live to see the day when Americans are the ones sneaking across the borders to find a job . . .

Yeah, I'm cynical.
